I just got back from a visit to the sprawling Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, WA outside Seatle. I’m pleased to report the soft drinks are still free and the coffee is still Starbucks.

It’s now official. In an effort to keep its dominant market position against a flood of competing products, Apple has introduced new iPod models with more storage capacity, much longer battery life and lower starting prices.
